I am pleased to notify you that our Club President invites you to the Annual General Meeting for 2025.

It will be held on the 6^th August @ 1915 at the Club.

An Agenda will be made available 2 days before the Meeting.

Any Member wishing to raise any Motions or Business at this meeting should notify the Club Secretary in writing via email by 22:00 on 3^rd August for it to be included on the Agenda.

This year is the 9th formal year for the operation of the Limited Company, all Directors are eligible for re-election, the elected Directors will form the Board of the Club.

Nominations will be invited from the 7^th July for the Club Officer & Volunteer Roles listed below for election to the 2025/26 Management Committee of the Club (known as the “Executive Committee”).

Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer,  Membership, Rugby Secretary, 1st Team Manager, Sirens Manager, Fixtures Match Secretary, Disciplinary, Safeguarding, Gate, Ground, House, Sponsorship, Press/Communications Officer

Astley Park is the place to be tomorrow when Devon Men and Devon Women’s teams take on Gloucestershire in the County Championship.
First on is the women’s game with 1 pm kick off followed by the men’s with a 3 pm. kick off.

Lots to choose from this weekend – join us tonight when Albion XV take on Westcountry Wasps XV at Astley Park with a 7.30 pm kick off.
Tomorrow, the Devon Colts 7-a-side festival takes place from 11 am to 5.30 pm and the 1st XV are away against Barnstaple XV, hoping to build on their victory last week in the Papa John’s Cup.

There is also an update in the history section of the website with a piece about our oldest surviving player, Phil Davies, pictured here aged 98 with our youngest player aged seven.

We have a busy weekend in prospect at Astley Park kicking off tonight with the Brixham Colts taking on Yeovil Colts at 7.30 pm.

Tomorrow, Brixham Albion kick off against Trinant XV at 12.30 pm on the top pitch, which will be followed by the 1st XV taking on Barnstaple in the quarter final of the Papa John’s Cup at 2.30 pm.

For just £10 per head, you can buy tables of 10 or individual places and enjoy the full pre-match experience at BRFC. Arrival from 12:45 pm, the price includes gate entry (all pay game), use of the upstairs bar and facilities, and a pasty and chips meal. Volunteers needed

We are seeking volunteers for the following roles:

• Press Officer, Gate Support, Match day assistance (sponsors lounge), Events Team, Matchday Stewards, House Officer Support (general maintenance, repairs, DIY, Saturday club, sprinkler team), Grounds Officer Support, HR Admin support.  Youth Section (Assistant To Fixture Secretary, Assistant To Director of Youth Rugby, Publicity Officer).

Brixham Youth play host to the Fishermans Cup U16’s Finals Day this Sunday (April 27th) with the first game, the Plate between Devonport Services and Topsham kicking off at 11 am. The Shield, between Wihtycombe and Exeter Ahtletic kicks off at 1 pm with the Cup game between Ivybridge and Kingsbridge at 3 pm.
