The 1st XV face Royal Wootton Bassett at home this weekend and hoping to consolidate their position in third place in the league. The match day sponsor for the 1st XV game is Offshore Turbine Services.
Meanwhile, The Crusaders XV will be playing at Totnes and are aiming to maintain their top position in a closely contested league.
Brixham Colts will kick off their Devon Colts Merit 2nd phase at Teignmouth.
In other news…
Join us for our annual Christmas auction and raffle event on Saturday, 21 December. We are thrilled to offer various incredible auction items, and hampers will be raffle prizes. Raffle tickets are now on sale from the bar. We extend our gratitude to all the local businesses that are generously donating items for auction.
On the same day, in the evening, we will be showing the Fury v Usyk fight and tickets are now available – free to members, £3 for non members.

Top-of-the-table Crusaders are at home tomorrow versus Salcombe 1st XV, kick off at 2.30 pm as usual.
The 1st XV are away to Sidmouth, also a 2.30 pm kick off.
The Brixham Sirens will be making their way to Plymouth on Sunday.
And finally, one for the diary – the Berry Head Hotel has been booked for this season’s dinner dance and presentation evening – Friday, May 9th 2025.

Unfortunately today’s Crusaders home Devon Cup game against Barnstaple is off, because of the weather.

The Crusaders are flying this season and maintained their place at the top of the league with a resounding win over Plympton Victoria last weekend.
However, this Saturday, they need your support as they turn their attention to the Devon Cup with a home fixture against Barnstaple with a 2.30pm kick-off. Entry is £2 and the game is sponsored by Brixham Youth.
The Colts XV are also playing Tiverton Colts on the top pitch with a 2pm kick off.

Rugby tonight
Join us tonight when Brixham Albion take on Torbay Sharks at Astley Park with a 7.30 pm kick off.

This weekend
Brixham 1st XV (currently fourth in the league) are at home to Matson on Saturday (Nov 16th) and the Crusaders (top of the league) are away to Plympton Victoria.

FALLEN COMRADES

On Saturday, 9th November, before the Crusaders game, we will be unveiling a plaque dedicated to the memory of those members of our club who made the supreme sacrifice and laid down their lives during World War 1

·         William Ash was killed on the trawler Courtier in January 1916.  He is buried in Brixham.

·         Joseph Jeffrey was in the Gloucestershire Regiment and was killed in July 1918. He is buried in Montecchio Precalcino Communal Cemetery Extension, Italy

·         Ernest Vass was in the Devonshire Regiment and was killed in July 1916.  He is buried in the Serre Road Cemetery No.2, Beaumont-Hamel and Hebuterne, France

·         Jack Sharp was in the Royal Artillery and was killed in August 1916.  He is buried in Nasiriyah, Iraq.

·         W Boyce, who is not listed on the Brixham War Memorial and no details of his death are known.

There will then be a short remembrance ceremony on the pitch before the kick-off.

the 1st XV are away this weekend at Lydney with a 3 pm kick off, but there is still a game at Astley Park on Saturday when the Crusaders take on Old Technicians 1st XV with a 2.30 pm kick off. The Colts are also at home on Friday evening kicking off at 8 pm against TeignEx XV.

Anniversary Exhibition
A reminder that the exhibition of the club’s 150-year history runs from 10 am to 4 pm and 6-9 pm tomorrow and from 10 am to 4 pm on Wednesday in the Danny Irvine Room.
The website history, which will be updated throughout the year has three new pieces, 1900-1939 in more detail, 1945-1969 in more detail and Ray Gardner’s piece written to mark 100 years of Brixham Rugby published in 1975.
